PORTUGAL 2024
Join Scott Trees for Unique Sights & Experiences of a Lifetime in Mongolia!
**Dates for 2020 will be announced soon**
Spend several days and nights on a scenic journey and personal experience through Mongolia. Explore the Khustaiin Nuruu Strictly Protected Area which was established to reintroduce the last survivors of the almost extinct Przewalski’s horses back to their natural environment. Capture images of these horses as they freely roam and interact with each other. View natural wonders in the Gobi Desert’s Three Beauties Nature Reserve, sand dunes, spectacular clear night views without any light pollution, the Orkhon Valley Cultural Landscape (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and the Flaming Cliffs of red sandstone. Attend the Annual Horse Festival and the “Journey of the 99 Little Heroes” festival dedicated to Mongolian culture through the eyes of children, including wrestling, horse racing, and archery performed by children. Spend an entire day with a nomadic family to gain insight into their daily lives and ancient traditions. Experience their unique lifestyle, nearly unchanged for hundreds of years. Several nights will be spent in traditional “ger camps” to enhance the experience and a few nights will be spent in hotels.
Throughout each location participants can take advantage of Scott’s vast photographic experience as he makes suggestions relating to lens choice, lighting, and a variety of other photographic considerations in an effort to help participants return with stunning personal images from their experiences.
This workshop is open to photographers of all skill levels and is limited to a maximum of 8 participants to ensure Scott has ample one-on-one with each participant.
