In Dare to Be Different, I share how many of my most memorable images began as problems to solve—light, location, the horse, or simply the need to try something new. Drawing on more than five decades of experience photographing horses around the world, I explore how instinct, adaptability, and a willingness to experiment can transform ordinary situations into photographs that truly resonate.

Through stories and images from assignments across six continents, I discuss how reacting to the moment—rather than following a rigid plan—often leads to the most powerful photographs.
