Destination: Lisbon Portugal , A Lucitano Experience – April 20 - 26 , 2026

Portugal is where heritage, elegance, and light come together. This tour centers around the Lusitano horse—one of the most expressive and athletic breeds in the world—photographed in environments that reflect its history and power. We work with exceptional horses, thoughtful handlers, and locations chosen specifically for light, texture, and atmosphere. This is not run-and-gun photography. We slow things down. We shape scenes. We talk about why a location works, how to read the light, and how to anticipate expression before it happens. There is a strong emphasis on composition, timing, and emotional content—not just “getting the shot.” Portugal consistently attracts a great mix of photographers, which adds to the experience. Expect strong shooting sessions, honest critique, great food, and the kind of conversations that only happen when people are fully immersed in the process.

Destination France: Horses of the French Countryside Workshop | October 2–9, 2026

Join me for a small-group photography workshop on a beautiful private horse farm in the historic Sarthe region of France, just south of the Loire Valley, an area known for its castles, villages, and timeless countryside. I will arrive several days early to scout locations and design sessions that capitalize on the region's unique landscapes and architecture. The farm is home to several exceptional Arabian horses, providing wonderful opportunities for expressive portrait and action photography. In addition, we are planning special sessions with a nearby farm that maintains a striking group of white mares that will be photographed running together in an open pasture, along with other stunning backdrops. Throughout the week, we will photograph horses in a variety of settings, including environmental and period-style portraits, liberty work, and horses with riders in the surrounding countryside. We are also exploring the possibility of photographing at nearby castles and historic locations, creating images that feel distinctly European. Between photography sessions, we will explore nearby villages, enjoy relaxed lunches, and experience the atmosphere of rural France. The goal is not simply to photograph horses, but to create a memorable photographic, and personal experience. Destination, Seville Spain, An Andalusian Experience, October 13 - 19, 2026

Spain is about presence. Power. And visual drama. This workshop focuses on the Andalusian horse, photographed in locations that echo the breed’s strength and elegance—historic courtyards, textured walls, dramatic light, and carefully selected environments that elevate the image beyond a standard portrait. We work on connecting horse, setting, and light into a single cohesive statement. You’ll see how small changes in angle, background, or timing completely alter the emotional weight of an image. This is where “seeing” becomes more important than shooting. Spain is also where we push people a bit—out of habits, out of comfort zones, and into more intentional image-making. The goal is not volume. The goal is images that feel deliberate and timeless.
